Who can issue permit for Restricted/Protected areas? |

Generally speaking when a foreigner is in India then Power to issue permit to foreigners for visiting R/P areas vests with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Foreign Division, Jaisalmer House, 26, Man Singh Road New Delhi and with Resident Commissioner of the State concerned.

However, FRROs have been delegated powers in respect of some specified areas and in some specific conditions.

No, generally a group of foreigners i.e. 2 or more only can avail this facility.
